Partnering for Greater Impact

We’re proud to share that The Swing has partnered with MUSC Hollings Cancer Center to help distribute funds directly to breast cancer patients in need. As South Carolina’s only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center—and one of just 72 in the country—MUSC Hollings brings the scale, reach, and trust needed to ensure our support has the greatest possible impact.

“We are thrilled that our Daniel Island neighbors have decided to partner with us to provide funds for underserved patients who need financial help when they are facing a breast cancer diagnosis,” said Dr. Raymond N. DuBois, Director of MUSC Hollings Cancer Center. “This type of grassroots effort truly makes a difference in our community, and we are very grateful.”

The funds raised through The Swing help cover the everyday essentials many patients struggle to afford while undergoing treatment—things like gas, groceries, utilities, childcare, and phone bills.

“The funds we raise help them fill their gas tanks, pay for groceries and childcare, and keep the lights and phones on while they are undergoing care for breast cancer,” said Lori Bayer, President of Swing for the Lowcountry.

In 2023 alone, The Swing provided $150,000 in direct support to over 150 women across the Lowcountry. Since 2019, we’ve raised more than $400,000, with the vast majority going directly to those who need it most.
